Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Women's Health Psychologist to join a leading private multi-specialty hospital in Kuwait. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered psychological care tailored to women's health needs. The ideal candidate will have specialized training in women's mental health, including perinatal mental health, reproductive health, and trauma-informed care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for women across various life stages.
- Provide evidence-based therapy for conditions such as postpartum depression, anxiety, pregnancy loss, infertility, menopause, and chronic pain.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other medical specialists to integrate mental health care into overall treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and other modalities.
- Offer crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute psychological distress.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) with a specialization in women's health or reproductive psychology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Kuwait.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in women's mental health settings.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions for women's health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification in perinatal mental health or reproductive psychology.
- Research experience in women's health psychology.
