Role Overview

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will support the culinary leadership in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining strict hygiene standards. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional seeking to advance their career in a dynamic, luxury hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in planning and executing menu items
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain consistency and quality
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and presentation standards
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to minimize waste
• Enforce food safety and sanitation regulations in compliance with hotel policies
• Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials
• Coordinate with other departments for banquets and events

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a similar role within a high-volume hotel or fine dining restaurant
• Education: Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
• Skills: Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment
• Languages: Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an international hotel brand
• Knowledge of HACCP or similar food safety systems
• Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
