About the Job
We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Inspector specializing in Steel Structure for a position in Kuwait. The role involves rigorous inspection of fabricated steel components, raw materials, and consumables to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality steel fabrication projects in a dynamic environment. As a Steel Structure Quality Inspector, you will play a key part in maintaining quality assurance and control throughout the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated steel components, raw materials, and consumables.
- Oversee welding inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and visual testing.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to tolerances.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
- Identify non-conformances and coordinate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Perform dimensional verification using calibrated tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Ensure all steel structure fabrication follows applicable codes like AWS D1.1 and ISO 9001.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA/QC Inspector in steel structure fabrication or heavy steel industry.
- Certification in welding inspection (CSWIP, AWS CWI, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with NDT methods and relevant certifications (UT, MT, PT, RT).
- Strong knowledge of steel structure fabrication processes and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, symbols, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an added advantage.
