Job Overview
An established financial organisation in Qatar is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to support and enhance mission-critical enterprise applications. This role is responsible for analysing, configuring, and optimising financial systems to ensure accurate reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of financial system enhancements and upgrades.
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including functional specifications and process flows.
- Ensure data integrity and security across financial applications.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes through system configuration and reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on financial system functionality.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in financial systems and ERP technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Systems Analyst or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of ERP financial modules (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Experience with financial close, budgeting, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Skills
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, or CFA) are a plus.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and internal controls.
