Job Overview

Iberdrola Innovation Middle East is building a suite of highly scalable, cloud-native SaaS products. We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Developer to lead the technical direction within one of our core development teams. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to drive innovation in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native applications using microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers to elevate team performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure high availability and rapid deployment.
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in software development with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Technical Stack: Proficiency in Java, Python, or Node.js; strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
• DevOps: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible), and container orchestration.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset in an agile environment.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
