Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager / Head of Electrical to join a leading engineering consultancy firm in Egypt. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, oversee electrical systems design and project delivery, and provide strategic direction across complex infrastructure and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the electrical engineering department, ensuring all projects meet technical standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Oversee the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems for multidisciplinary projects.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of electrical engineers and technical staff.
- Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams to ensure seamless project integration.
- Make critical technical decisions regarding electrical design, equipment selection, and project methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for electrical engineering deliverables.
- Represent the electrical discipline in client meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
Qualifications
- Strong background working within engineering consultancy firms with a proven track record in electrical engineering leadership.
- Extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through completion.
- Demonstrated ability in team management, including hiring, training, and performance oversight of engineering professionals.
- Excellent coordination skills with the ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making capabilities under pressure, particularly in complex project environments.
- Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering software, design tools, and BIM workflows.
- Solid understanding of Egyptian and international electrical standards and building codes.
