Home Medical Care Nurse

Job Summary:
Tabibak Home Medical Care is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care directly to patients in their homes. The RN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, performing medical procedures, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and their families on health management. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with GPs and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Home Visits: Conduct scheduled home visits to assess patient health status, monitor vital signs, and evaluate overall well-being.
• Nursing Assessment: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including physical examinations, health history review, and identification of patient needs and risks.
• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, including oral, injectable, and intravenous routes, and educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
• Wound Care & Dressings: Provide expert wound care, including cleaning, dressing changes, and monitoring for signs of infection or healing progression.
• Specimen Collection: Collect various specimens (e.g., blood, urine, swabs) for laboratory testing as per physician orders.
• Catheter Care & Management: Provide care for indwelling catheters (e.g., Foley, suprapubic) and ostomies, ensuring hygiene and proper functioning.
• Chronic Disease Support: Assist in the management of chronic conditions by monitoring symptoms, providing patient education, and reinforcing treatment plans prescribed by the GP.
• Post-Operative Care: Provide nursing care for patients recovering from surgery, including pain management, wound assessment, and mobility assistance.
• Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, symptom recognition, medication adherence, nutrition, hygiene, and self-care techniques.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with GPs, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care, communicate patient status, and facilitate referrals.
• Emergency Response: Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, provide immediate first aid or emergency care, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
• Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely electronic health records (EHR) for all patient encounters, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Equipment Management: Ensure proper use, maintenance, and sterilization of medical equipment used during home visits.
• Quality & Safety: Adhere strictly to all nursing standards, clinical guidelines, ethical principles, and safety protocols established by Tabibak Home Medical Care and regulatory bodies.
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to maintain licensure and enhance nursing knowledge and skills.



Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Licensure: Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Oman
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-registration nursing experience, with a preference for experience in home healthcare, community nursing, or acute care settings.
• Language Skills: Fluency in and English (both verbal and written) is essential.
• Driving: Valid driving license and access to reliable transportation.
