Role Overview

As a Patent Administrator at Novagraaf, you will join a modern intellectual property consultancy firm in Tunis. This role combines administrative expertise with specialized knowledge in patent procedures, supporting a team of IP professionals. You will be responsible for managing patent dockets, coordinating filings, and ensuring compliance with deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain patent databases and docketing systems to track deadlines and procedural steps.
• Prepare and file patent applications, responses, and related documents with local and international patent offices.
• Coordinate with attorneys, agents, and clients to ensure timely and accurate submission of materials.
• Monitor patent annuity payments and renewals, ensuring all fees are paid on schedule.
• Assist in patent prosecution processes, including drafting correspondence and status reports.
• Handle incoming and outgoing patent-related correspondence, both electronically and by mail.
• Maintain confidential client files and records in compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements

Hard Skills:

• Proven experience in patent administration or IP docketing, preferably in a law firm or IP consultancy.
• Familiarity with patent filing procedures in Tunisia and international conventions (PCT, Paris Convention).
• Proficiency in patent management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
