This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of pastry and bakery production within a prestigious, fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Demi Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for a specific section of the bakery, supporting the Chef de Partie and ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a wide range of bakery items, including breads, pastries, and desserts, according to Four Seasons recipes and standards.
- Supervise and assist junior kitchen staff, ensuring proper techniques and hygiene practices are followed.
- Manage inventory and stock rotation for your assigned section, minimizing waste and maintaining freshness.
- Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored according to safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, adhering to HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment, communicating effectively with all kitchen and service staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry section within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Formal culinary education or apprenticeship in pastry arts or bakery.
- Proven expertise in artisan bread making, viennoiserie, and classical desserts.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP certification.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills; fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Must be based in Kuwait or willing to relocate.
