Role Overview
Al-Futtaim Group, a diversified and progressive privately held regional business headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President - Broker Relations to join its financial services division, Orient Insurance PJSC, in Oman. This senior role is responsible for driving and managing broker relationships to support business growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic broker relations plans to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key insurance brokers and intermediaries across Oman.
- Negotiate and manage broker agreements, commissions, and performance metrics.
- Provide training and support to brokers on product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and claims processes.
- Monitor broker performance, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams including underwriting, claims, and marketing to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on broker activities and results.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a broker relations or business development role.
- Proven track record of managing and growing broker networks in the GCC region, preferably in Oman.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in financial services or insurance brokerage management.
- Knowledge of the Omani insurance market and regulatory environment.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
