About the Role
Airswift, a global workforce solutions provider with 40 years of industry experience and over 60 regional offices, is seeking a highly skilled Civil/Structural/Marine Engineering Specialist to support large-scale projects in Qatar. This role demands deep technical expertise in civil, structural, and marine engineering disciplines to deliver complex infrastructure and offshore developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and review of civil and structural works for marine and onshore facilities.
- Prepare and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for concrete, steel, and marine structures.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical, mechanical, and project management to ensure design integrity.
- Conduct site inspections and supervise construction activities to verify compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Evaluate load conditions, environmental factors, and material durability for marine environments.
- Provide technical support during tendering, procurement, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to relevant codes (ACI, BS, Eurocode, API) and local Qatari regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in marine or coastal engineering.
- Professional Engineering (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in the design and construction of ports, jetties, breakwaters, or offshore structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or PLAXIS.
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, pile driving, and concrete durability in saltwater.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with experience managing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the Middle East, particularly in Qatar or the GCC region.
- Familiarity with BIM and 3D modeling tools (Revit, Tekla).
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Experience with risk assessment and value engineering for large infrastructure projects.
