About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician (Air Conditioning Technician) to join our team in Kuwait. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in AC units and perform troubleshooting to identify root causes.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams for HVAC installations.
- Perform refrigerant charging, recovery, and leak detection in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Inspect and test HVAC components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and ductwork.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Provide accurate documentation of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and provide reliable after-hours support when needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AC Technician, HVAC Technician, or similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including split units, central air conditioning, VRF/VRV systems, and chillers.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in air conditioning equipment.
- Familiarity with refrigerant handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Basic understanding of HVAC control systems and thermostats.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.
- Valid driver's license is preferred.
- Ability to work 9 hours per day, 6 days per week as per the schedule.
Preferred Skills
- Certification or diploma in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Air Conditioning Technology.
- Experience working in Kuwait or the Gulf region.
- Familiarity with duct fabrication, insulation, and ventilation systems.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC solutions and green building practices.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
