Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Country Sales Manager to lead business development and sales operations within the drilling, drilling contracting, and oil & gas sectors in Oman. This strategic role requires a proven track record in B2B sales, key account management, and market expansion within the energy industry. The successful candidate will be based in Muscat and will drive revenue growth across the Sultanate.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive country sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives for the drilling and oil & gas sectors.
- Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with major operators, EPC contractors, and drilling contractors.
- Manage and grow existing key accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction and long-term partnership development.
- Lead tendering and proposal processes for drilling services, equipment, and contracting solutions.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor intelligence, and sector trend monitoring to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and commercial teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events across the GCC region.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and service level agreements in compliance with local regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior sales staff, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the oil & gas, drilling, or energy services industry within the GCC.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and securing major contracts in drilling contracting or oilfield services.
- Deep understanding of drilling operations, well construction, and associated supply chains.
- Established network of decision-makers within PDO, international operators, and major drilling contractors in Oman.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency is a strong advantage.
- Valid Omani driving license and willingness to travel extensively within Oman and regionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international oil companies (IOCs) and national oil companies (NOCs) procurement processes.
- Certification in strategic account management or advanced sales methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman, SPIN).
- Previous experience managing a P&L or business unit within the region.
- Technical background in petroleum engineering, drilling engineering, or geosciences.

Work Environment
