Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Managerial Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and a solid foundation in financial reporting, cost analysis, and managerial accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for operational and capital expenditures.
- Oversee cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and product costing.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements in Qatar.
- Collaborate with department heads to evaluate financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial deliverables.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions to streamline financial workflows and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managerial or cost accounting within a corporate or project-based environment.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and ERP software platforms.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of Qatar's financial regulations and tax frameworks.
