About the Role
Société Bella Noura is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Contrôleur de Terrain to join our team in Tunis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing evening dining room operations, ensuring strict adherence to company procedures, supervising all cash register activities, and managing the daily financial closure process. This is a hands-on supervisory position that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise the evening dining room team — coordinate staff assignments, monitor service quality, and ensure smooth operations throughout each shift.
- Ensure proper application of all operational procedures — verify that health, safety, and service standards are consistently met and maintained.
- Oversee all cash register operations — monitor transactions, verify cash handling accuracy, and prevent discrepancies.
- Manage daily financial closure — perform end-of-day cash reconciliation, prepare closing reports, and ensure all financial records are accurate and complete.
- Act as the on-site point of contact — resolve operational issues in real time and communicate effectively with management.
- Support team development — guide and mentor floor staff to maintain high performance and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Solid understanding of cash handling procedures and basic financial reconciliation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, particularly during high-volume evening shifts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Reliability and punctuality with availability for evening and weekend shifts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with POS systems and point-of-sale technology.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in French; knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset.
- Prior experience in a similar controller or floor manager role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Basic proficiency in spreadsheet tools for reporting purposes.
