As a Lobby Lounge Assistant Manager, you will act as a key link between senior management and operational staff. Your primary focus is ensuring seamless service delivery in the lobby lounge and adjacent dining areas. This position falls under the broader scope of restaurant management, bar supervision, and food & beverage coordination within a world-class hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties
- Assist in the daily supervision of restaurants, bars, and room service operations to ensure consistent quality and service standards.
- Monitor lobby lounge activities, including guest seating, order taking, beverage preparation, and table maintenance during peak and off-peak hours.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure menu accuracy, timely food presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Supervise, train, and schedule food and beverage staff to maintain optimal performance levels and adherence to hotel policies.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints promptly, escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
- Ensure proper handling of cash, billing systems, and inventory records for the lobby lounge and related outlets.
- Conduct regular inspections of the lounge area to uphold cleanliness, ambiance, and brand standards set by Marriott International.
- Collaborate with the events and banqueting team to support private functions and VIP gatherings hosted in the lounge area.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage management or supervisory roles within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of beverage programs, restaurant service standards, and hospitality operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff across shifts.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management software, and hotel property management systems (PMS).
- Understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and workplace health protocols.
- Professional appearance, strong communication skills, and a guest-first mindset with attention to detail.
