Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician Instrument to join our Field Operations Maintenance team at B60, Oman. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance of operated assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation equipment including transmitters, controllers, valves, and analyzers.
- Calibrate and test instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system faults in a timely manner.
- Support installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to optimize asset reliability.
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX budget controls related to instrumentation maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in oil & gas, petrochemical, or process industry.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, calibration procedures, and control systems (PLC/DCS).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with HART, Foundation Fieldbus, and other communication protocols.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with specific brands (e.g., Emerson, Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB).
- Certification in functional safety (SIL) or relevant industry standards.
- Previous field operation experience in Oman or GCC region.
