Role Overview
Management Solutions and Sales Development is currently recruiting Heavy Truck / Semi-Trailer Drivers in Tunis. This is a permanent position (CDI) within the transport and logistics sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across designated routes, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all road safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trucks and semi-trailer vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport goods and cargo between locations, ensuring on-time delivery and proper handling of freight.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logbooks, cargo manifests, and route documentation.
- Ensure compliance with loading and unloading procedures to prevent damage to goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse teams, and clients regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including securing cargo and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Manage fuel consumption responsibly and keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
Qualifications
- Valid heavy truck driving license (permis poids lourd) appropriate for operating semi-trailer and heavy goods vehicles.
- Proven professional experience as a heavy truck or semi-trailer driver.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Familiarity with routes within Tunis and surrounding regions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by delivery schedules.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long driving hours.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
