Role Overview

An experienced Italian Pizza Chef is sought for a reputable restaurant based in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic Italian pizzas using traditional recipes, fresh ingredients, and time-honored dough fermentation methods
• Manage daily mise en place, including sauce preparation, dough stretching, topping portioning, and quality checks
• Operate and maintain commercial pizza ovens (wood-fired, deck, or conveyor) at optimal temperatures
• Ensure consistent taste, texture, and presentation across all pizza menu items
• Collaborate with the kitchen team on menu development, seasonal specials, and Italian-inspired dishes
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations
• Monitor ingredient inventory, reduce food waste, and manage cost control for the pizza station
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff on authentic Italian pizza-making techniques

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Proven experience as an Italian Pizza Chef, Pizzaiolo, or similar role in a professional kitchen
• Expert knowledge of Italian dough recipes, including Neapolitan, Roman, and New York styles
• Proficiency with commercial pizza oven types and temperature management
• Strong understanding of Italian ingredient sourcing, flavor profiles, and plating
• Food safety certification or equivalent training (HACCP preferred)
