Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, monitor, and maintain core banking application systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime across critical banking platforms.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements and new module deployments.
- Perform system configuration, testing, and validation of core banking updates, patches, and version upgrades in coordination with vendor teams.
- Troubleshoot application issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions to maintain service continuity.
- Support integration efforts between core banking systems and peripheral channels including digital banking, payment gateways, and ATM networks.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, system workflows, and operational runbooks for knowledge transfer and compliance purposes.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles and ensure all deliverables meet quality standards before production deployment.
- Generate regular system performance reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to IT leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on experience in core banking application support or systems analysis within a banking or financial services environment.
- Strong familiarity with core banking platforms such as Temenos T24 (Temenos Transact), Finacle, or equivalent enterprise banking solutions.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and the ability to write and optimize queries for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of banking business processes including account management, payments, loans, and general ledger operations.
- Experience with system integration, API management, and middleware technologies in a multi-tier banking architecture.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
