About the Role
We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic Waiter to join our restaurant team in Bahrain. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our guests, delivering an exceptional dining experience from the moment they walk through the door. You will be responsible for ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our brand's high standards of hospitality, quality service, and attention to detail.
Core Responsibilities
- Arrange and prepare table set-ups before and after each guest according to the restaurant's established brand standards and service protocols.
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival, present the menu, and provide personalized recommendations to assist with item selection.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly and efficiently to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of all orders, checking back with guests to confirm satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked station throughout each shift, including table linens, glassware, cutlery, and condiments.
- Handle guest inquiries regarding menu ingredients, allergens, and daily specials with confidence and accuracy.
- Process bills and payments accurately, handling cash, card transactions, and receipts in accordance with restaurant policy.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, bar team, and fellow servers to ensure smooth and efficient service flow during peak hours.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times to maintain a safe dining environment for guests and staff.
- Report any maintenance issues, stock shortages, or customer feedback to the shift supervisor or management in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a waiter, server, or similar food & beverage service role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to engage and connect with guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Good knowledge of food and beverage menus, including common allergens and dietary considerations.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, processing payments, and managing cash accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, carry trays, and move efficiently throughout the restaurant during busy shifts.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility toward team commitments.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a high-volume or fine-dining restaurant environment.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, particularly proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Upselling techniques and the ability to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations.
- Knowledge of local food safety standards and hygiene best practices in Bahrain.
- A professional appearance and well-groomed presentation aligned with hospitality industry standards.
