identification card to meet governmental regulations.

Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair

business management duties such as maintaining records and files,

Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand
tools and power tools.
15) Work from ladders, scaffolds, and
roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring,
equipment, and fixtures.
16) Place conduit (pipes or tubing)
inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas,
and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to
complete circuits between boxes.
17) Construct and fabricate
parts, using hand tools and specifications.
18) Fasten small
metal or plastic boxes to walls to house electrical switches or
outlets.
19) Perform physically demanding tasks, such as
digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy
objects.
20) Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates
for materials and services.
21) Provide assistance during
emergencies by operating floodlights and generators, placing
flares, and driving needed vehicles. Engineers are problem
solvers. As an electrical engineer, you are often required to
think logically. You need to analyse strengths and weaknesses and
offer alternative solutions, approaches and conclusions to
problems. Critical thinking helps to ensure everything runs
smoothly and systematically. You need to be able to read and

electrical current and a circuit might not work, too much and it
could explode, catch fire or melt. Having a degree is not the end
of the road for an engineer. This is just the beginning of your
journey of active learning. You are required to be up to date
with the latest information at all times. Often, you will find
yourself seeking more knowledge to meet the growing demands of
this career. The ability to learn new skills fast is valued by
every employer. Having knowledge of electrical engineering is one
thing, its application is another. To be a valuable employee, you
need to know how to relate to other people. It is important to
know how to work in a team and how to relate to clients to help
solve problems. This is a quality that every employer values. You
will often find yourself in situations that require you to
prioritise, manage time and plan projects. If you have poor
organisational skills, you may find yourself under pressure at
all times. To avoid this, you need to have a knack for
organisation. You will probably face complex engineering problems
at work. Consequently, you need complex problem-solving skills to
identify such problems and evaluate related information to
develop and assess options that will offer appropriate solutions.
You also need the skills to design electrical systems to solve
complex problems.
