Job Summary

The Offset Printing Machine Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and monitoring offset printing machines to ensure high-quality printed products are produced efficiently, safely, and according to customer specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Machine Operation

* Set up and operate offset printing machines according to job specifications.
* Load paper, plates, inks, and other materials required for production.
* Adjust machine settings to achieve correct color registration and print quality.
* Monitor machine performance during production runs.

2. Print Quality Control

* Inspect printed sheets regularly for color consistency, registration, and defects.
* Ensure printed materials meet customer requirements and company quality standards.
* Report and correct printing issues immediately.

3. Production Management

* Follow daily production schedules and prioritize jobs according to deadlines.
* Maintain production records including quantities printed, waste sheets, and machine downtime.
* Ensure jobs are completed within the allocated production time.

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

* Perform daily cleaning and preventive maintenance of printing machines.
* Identify and troubleshoot machine problems.
* Coordinate with maintenance technicians for major repairs.

5. Material Handling

* Monitor ink, paper, chemicals, and consumable usage.
* Minimize material waste during setup and production.
* Store materials properly according to company procedures.
