Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for secondary students (IGCSE, A-Level, or IB Diploma Programme equivalents) following the school's approved curriculum framework.
- Design and implement laboratory experiments, practical investigations, and safety protocols that develop scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and data analysis skills.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessment strategies, providing timely feedback and differentiated support to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate educational technology and digital resources (simulations, virtual labs, learning management systems) to enhance conceptual understanding and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Science Department on curriculum mapping, vertical alignment, and cross-curricular STEM initiatives.
- Maintain accurate academic records, write progress reports, and participate in parent-teacher conferences to communicate student achievement.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, science clubs, competition coaching, or pastoral care duties as assigned.

Requirements
Hard Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related science discipline; Master's degree preferred.
- Recognized teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, US State Licensure, or equivalent) with secondary science specialization.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level (Grades 9-12 / Years 10-13) in an international or British curriculum school.
- Proven experience with IGCSE Chemistry, A-Level Chemistry, or IB DP Chemistry curricula and examination preparation.
- Strong command of laboratory management, chemical safety procedures (CLEAPSS or equivalent), and practical assessment moderation.
- Proficiency in data-driven instruction, assessment for learning (AfL), and differentiation strategies for EAL/ESL learners.
- Familiarity with school accreditation processes (CIS, COBIS, BSME, or similar) and self-study contributions.
