About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Architect to join our team in Qatar. This role offers the opportunity to lead architectural projects from concept design through construction documentation, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations and regulatory standards. As a Senior Architect, you will play a pivotal part in driving project success and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects from conceptual design through to construction documentation and project close-out.
- Develop and review design concepts, plans, and specifications to ensure alignment with project goals and client requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, as well as external consultants and contractors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design intent, and resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and present design proposals and reports to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and interns, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Stay updated with local building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards in Qatar.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proven experience leading large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects in the Middle East, preferably Qatar.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
- Strong understanding of local building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse team.
- Professional registration or licensure (e.g., RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:- Experience with sustainable design and LEED or GSAS certification processes.
- Familiarity with BIM methodologies and advanced visualization tools.
- Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
- Fluency in Arabic is an advantage but not mandatory.
