Role Overview

Join a leading French chartered accountant and law firm with offices across Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, and Milan, now expanding its presence in Rabat, Morocco. We are seeking an experienced accounting associate (Collaborateur Comptable confirmé) to manage a diverse portfolio of French and international clients. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-value accounting, tax, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of French and foreign companies, ensuring compliance with French GAAP and Moroccan accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Handle tax declarations: VAT, corporate income tax, and other local tax obligations for Moroccan and French entities.
• Assist with statutory audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors.
• Provide advisory support on accounting treatments, group reporting, and consolidation packages.
• Supervise junior accountants and review their work for accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with clients to resolve accounting queries and deliver timely financial insights.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes in both French and Moroccan accounting and tax legislation.

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Proven experience as a Collaborateur Comptable confirmé or Senior Staff Accountant in a chartered accountant firm (minimum 3-5 years).
• Deep knowledge of French accounting standards (PCG) and Moroccan accounting regulations.
• Proficiency in tax compliance for corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding taxes in Morocco and France.
• Advanced skills in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Cegid, QuickBooks) and ERP systems.
• Strong command of consolidation techniques and group reporting for multinational clients.
• Fluency in French (written and spoken); English is a strong asset.
