About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Investment Manager to lead the evaluation, execution, and ongoing management of investment opportunities across our diverse business portfolio in Doha, Qatar. This strategic role requires a seasoned investment professional with deep expertise in financial analysis, deal structuring, and portfolio optimization within the Gulf market context.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end investment lifecycle: origination, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and closing of investment transactions
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with organizational objectives and risk appetite
- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity testing for prospective investments
- Manage and monitor existing investment portfolio performance, identifying value creation opportunities and risk mitigation measures
- Prepare and present investment committee memoranda, board papers, and stakeholder reports
- Build and maintain relationships with financial advisors, investment banks, fund managers, and co-investment partners across the MENA region
- Oversee post-investment integration, governance, and performance tracking against KPIs
- Stay current on Qatar and GCC regulatory frameworks, market trends, and macroeconomic developments affecting investment decisions
- Mentor and develop junior investment analysts and associates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, tax, finance, and operations on transaction execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or CFA charter strongly preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in investment management, private equity, corporate development, or investment banking
- Proven track record of leading complex investment transactions in the GCC/Qatar market
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions), and deal structuring
- Strong understanding of Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), QFMA regulations, and local compliance requirements
- Excellent Arabic and English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive consensus on investment decisions
- Experience managing external advisors and leading due diligence processes
Preferred Qualifications
- CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional certification
- Prior experience with sovereign wealth funds, family offices, or large corporate investment arms in Qatar
- Sector expertise in real estate, infrastructure, financial services, or technology investments
- Established network within Qatar's investment community and regulatory bodies
