Internal Auditor Position at SOREC - Rabat, Morocco

Join the Société Royale d'Encouragement du Cheval (SOREC), a prestigious organization established in 2003 under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries. SOREC is dedicated to the supervision and development of the equine sector in Morocco, offering a dynamic and mission-driven work environment.

Role Overview

As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. You will conduct independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve SOREC's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audit engagements across financial, operational, and compliance areas.


• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management frameworks.


• Identify control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and instances of non-compliance with policies and regulations.


• Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.


• Follow up on implementation of corrective actions and provide advisory support to business units.


• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit methodology and tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related field.


• Professional certification (CIA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.


• Proven experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk management (typically 3+ years).


• Strong knowledge of International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards).


• Proficiency in audit software and data analytics tools (e.g., ACL, TeamMate, Power BI).


• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills in French and Arabic; English is a plus.


• High integrity, objectivity, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
