About the Job
The Associate Director, Access & Reimbursement (ADAR) position focuses on market access strategy within the pharmaceutical sector, operating remotely from Morocco while covering the West Texas geography including San Antonio. This field-based role demands deep expertise in payer engagement, reimbursement landscape analysis, and health economics outcomes research to drive product adoption across key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute market access strategies aligned with national and regional payer objectives
- Lead reimbursement dossier development and submission for formulary placement
- Conduct health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to support value propositions
- Build and maintain relationships with key payer decision-makers and pharmacy benefit managers
- Analyze market access barriers and develop mitigation plans for product launch readiness
- Collaborate with medical affairs, commercial, and government affairs teams on evidence generation
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes impacting reimbursement policies in target markets
- Provide field-based support and training to regional account managers on access tools
Requirements
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MPH, or MBA) with focus on health economics or market access
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in pharmaceutical market access or reimbursement roles
- Proven track record of successful formulary negotiations and payer contracting
- Deep understanding of US payer landscape, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial insurance dynamics
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in real-world evidence and budget impact modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for diverse stakeholder audiences
- Willingness to travel up to 40% across assigned territory and attend national conferences
