Research Specialist Level 4 – Epidemiology in Qatar الدوحة للعمل في الطب والصحة

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Research Specialist Level 4 in Epidemiology to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to design and execute epidemiological studies that inform public health strategies. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing complex datasets, interpreting findings, and contributing to scientific publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with study design, including protocol development, sample size calculation, and methodological planning.
• Collect, manage, and clean data from multiple sources, ensuring high quality and integrity.
• Perform advanced statistical analyses using software such as R, SAS, or Stata.
• Interpret results and prepare reports, manuscripts, and presentations for dissemination.
• Collaborate with the PI and cross-functional teams to ensure study milestones are met.
• Contribute to grant writing and literature reviews to support ongoing research.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of research experience in epidemiology or health data analysis.
• Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or Stata) and data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of study design, biostatistics, and research ethics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with infectious disease modeling or chronic disease epidemiology.
• Track record of peer-reviewed publications.
• Familiarity with Qatar’s health system and regional public health priorities.
