Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Investment Director / Chief Investment Officer to lead the investment strategy of a regulated, Sharia-compliant investment institution based in Doha, Qatar. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with Sharia principles, and driving long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the institution's investment strategy, asset allocation, and risk management framework.
• Lead the investment team in identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
• Ensure all investment activities comply with Sharia law and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor portfolio performance, conduct regular reviews, and adjust strategies to optimize returns.
• Present investment recommendations and performance reports to the Board of Directors and senior management.
• Foster relationships with external fund managers, advisors, and financial institutions.
• Mentor and develop junior investment professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in investment management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Deep understanding of Sharia-compliant finance and investment principles.
• Proven track record of managing large, diversified portfolios and delivering consistent returns.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Gulf region, particularly Qatar.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for Islamic financial institutions.
• Network within the global investment community.
