You are the financial architect who thrives where academic mission meets fiscal rigor. You see a chart of accounts as a narrative of institutional impact, and you bring the discipline to keep that narrative flawless.

What You'll Own

• Full-cycle accounting for a multi-entity university environment: general ledger, month-end and year-end close, fixed assets, intercompany eliminations.
• Compliance & reporting under Moroccan GAAP and IFRS alignment: tax filings (IS, IR, TVA), CNSS, statutory audits, and donor/grant financial reporting.
• Budget ownership: partner with deans and department heads to build, monitor, and reforecast operating and capital budgets; variance analysis that drives decisions.
• Treasury & cash flow optimization across MAD and foreign-currency accounts; bank reconciliations, investment scheduling, and liquidity forecasting.
• Process automation: design and implement controls in the ERP (Sage / SAP / Oracle) to eliminate manual spreadsheets and reduce close cycle by days.
• Audit liaison: lead coordination with external auditors, prepare PBC lists, and resolve findings before they become observations.

What You Bring

• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, minimum 2 years in a senior or lead role; Big 4 or multinational corporate background preferred.
• Expert command of Moroccan tax law, CNSS regulations, and IFRS; fluency in French and English (Arabic a plus).
• ERP mastery (Sage 100/300, SAP FI/CO, or Oracle Financials); advanced Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, dynamic dashboards).
• Proven track record of reducing close cycle, automating reconciliations, or designing internal controls that passed external audit with zero material weaknesses.
• Analytical mindset: you translate raw data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders — deans, project leads, board committees.
• Integrity & discretion: you handle sensitive payroll, research grant, and endowment data with absolute confidentiality.
