Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Department to oversee English, Maths, Science, and ICT alongside serving as School Principal in Muscat. This dual leadership role demands a visionary educator who can drive academic excellence, curriculum development, and school-wide strategic growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in educational administration and a track record of improving student outcomes across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the English, Maths, Science, and ICT departments, ensuring alignment with national and international curriculum standards.
• Develop and implement school-wide policies for teaching, assessment, and student progress monitoring.
• Supervise and mentor department heads and teaching staff to maintain high-quality instruction and professional development.
• Coordinate cross-curricular integration and facilitate interdisciplinary projects.
• Manage school operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Foster a positive school culture that promotes student achievement, behavior, and well-being.
• Represent the school in meetings with parents, the Board of Directors, and educational authorities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., BA in Sciences, or related field)
• Master's or PhD in Education, Educational Leadership, or a subject-related discipline
• State Licensure Exam for Teachers
• IELTS score of at least 6.0 (or TOEFL/CELTA equivalent) for non-native English speakers
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role such as Head of Department or Principal
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage change in a school setting
