About the Role
We are supporting a hospitality investment and asset management group in Oman with the appointment of a Hotel Operations Manager within the Asset Management department. This is an owner-side hotel position focused on maximizing asset value, driving operational excellence, and ensuring strong financial performance across the property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations on behalf of the ownership group, ensuring alignment with asset management objectives and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with hotel general managers and executive teams to monitor and improve operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue generation.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, performance benchmarks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across managed properties.
- Prepare and present detailed operational reports, financial analyses, and performance dashboards to stakeholders and investors.
- Manage capital expenditure projects, renovation timelines, and asset enhancement initiatives to protect and grow property value.
- Conduct regular property inspections and operational audits to ensure brand standards, health and safety regulations, and contractual obligations are met.
- Negotiate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to optimize procurement costs and service quality.
- Support the development of annual operating budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans for each asset under management.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost reduction, and margin improvement across all operational areas.
- Act as the primary liaison between hotel operators, ownership, and third-party management companies.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong command of hotel operations management, including rooms, food and beverage, engineering, and guest services.
- Proven experience in asset management, real estate investment, or owner-side hospitality roles.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements, cash flow reports, and investment performance metrics.
- Proficiency in revenue management strategies and yield optimization techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple departments and properties.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Familiarity with hospitality technology platforms, property management systems (PMS), and business intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of Oman's hospitality market, regulatory environment, and tourism industry trends is a strong advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field is required; a master's degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in hotel operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior management or asset management capacity.
- Demonstrated track record of managing multi-property portfolios or large-scale hotel assets.
- Experience working with international hotel brands, management companies, or institutional ownership groups is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
