Senior Civil Engineer – EPC Company | Oman
A Senior Civil Engineer is a seasoned professional who leads the planning, design, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and pipeline systems. They manage project budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and pipeline systems
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Oversee all civil engineering aspects of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, safety standards, and regulations
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to construction teams
- Prepare detailed project reports, progress updates, and risk assessments
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technical staff
- Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience: Minimum 8–12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably within EPC or infrastructure sectors
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of structural design, geotechnical engineering, and construction management
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, Primavera P6, MS Project, and other engineering design tools
- Project Management: Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Oman building codes, international standards (ASTM, ACI, BS), and environmental regulations
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Certifications: PMP, PE license, or equivalent professional certifications are highly desirable
