About the Role
Siemens Energy L.L.C., a global leader in energy technology, is seeking a dedicated Project Expeditor to join the Grid Technologies business unit within the Service division. This is a full-time position based in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution and delivery of complex energy projects by coordinating procurement, logistics, and supply chain activities.
Core Responsibilities
- Monitor and track project procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to project sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues, expedite critical orders, and minimize project delays.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, shipping documents, and delivery statuses using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, and warehouse personnel to align material availability with project milestones.
- Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule.
- Prepare regular status reports and dashboards on procurement and delivery progress for senior management review.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy's procurement policies, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Support the resolution of supplier non-conformance issues and warranty claims in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication between international suppliers and local project teams across Oman.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project expediting, procurement coordination, or supply chain management, preferably within the energy, power generation, or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, logistics workflows, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with international suppliers and managing cross-border logistics.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, shipping documentation, and customs clearance procedures.
- Knowledge of quality assurance standards and supplier performance evaluation methods.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure project environment.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or PMP are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic project environment with evolving priorities.
