Job Purpose

UNICEF is seeking an Applied Behavioural Sciences Officer to integrate behavioral science insights into programs that improve the lives of children and families in Morocco. The role focuses on designing evidence-based interventions that address social and behavioral barriers to child well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct formative research and behavioral analysis to identify drivers of key child outcomes (e.g., immunization, nutrition, education).
• Design, test, and evaluate behavioral interventions using randomized controlled trials and other rigorous methods.
• Translate behavioral science findings into actionable recommendations for program teams and partners.
• Build capacity of UNICEF staff and government counterparts on behavioral science approaches.
• Monitor and report on the impact of behavioral interventions, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree or higher in behavioral sciences, psychology, sociology, public health, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of applied experience in behavioral science, social and behavior change, or related research.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS, R), and experimental design.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, cross-cultural communication, project management, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Languages: Fluency in English and French or Arabic is required.
