We are currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our growing team in Kuwait and help drive operational excellence across our retail locations.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high service standards.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of baristas and retail staff to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, manage stock orders, and ensure proper product rotation and display standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Assist in achieving sales targets and KPIs through effective team management and upselling techniques.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions on coffee preparation, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
- Prepare shift schedules, manage labor costs, and ensure optimal staffing levels during peak hours.
- Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising standards, and brand presentation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager on local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within retail, hospitality, or food & beverage.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a customer-facing environment.
- Solid understanding of inventory management, loss prevention, and operational procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or hospitality management is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Passion for specialty coffee and a deep understanding of coffee culture and trends.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail or café environment.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities (Arabic and English) are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with local labor laws and retail compliance standards in Kuwait.
- Previous experience with staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
