A Superintendent role is available with a leading organization in Bahrain, overseeing the full lifecycle of investment projects from inception through commissioning. This position demands a seasoned professional capable of directing complex implementations while adhering to stringent quality, safety, and cost parameters aligned with recognized industry practices. The successful candidate will serve as the primary authority on-site, ensuring all project deliverables meet corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the implementation of investment projects from initial planning stages through final commissioning and handover
- Establish and enforce project execution strategies that align with company requirements, quality benchmarks, and safety protocols
- Monitor project costs rigorously, implementing controls to prevent budget overruns while maintaining scope integrity
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure seamless integration
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions promptly
- Ensure compliance with all local Bahraini regulations, international standards, and recognized industry best practices
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management, highlighting milestones, variances, and forecasts
- Lead commissioning activities, coordinating testing, validation, and documentation for smooth operational transition
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience in project management within large-scale investment or infrastructure projects
- Proven track record managing projects from inception through commissioning in the Gulf region
- Deep knowledge of project controls, cost management, quality assurance, and HSE systems
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multicultural teams and subcontractors
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and reporting tools
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-RMP, or equivalent highly preferred
