About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee large-scale construction and infrastructure projects onsite in Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring over 20 years of proven experience in building construction, project management, and site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction project lifecycle from planning through completion
- Oversee onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and cost control measures
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations onsite
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients
- Resolve onsite challenges and mitigate risks to avoid project delays
- Ensure all construction work meets local building codes, regulations, and quality standards in Qatar
- Lead and mentor onsite teams, including engineers, supervisors, and labor crews
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 20+ years of experience in construction management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure and building projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and construction software
- In-depth understanding of Qatar's building regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, onsite environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or equivalent are highly preferred
