Role Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing construction remediation projects from initiation through completion. This role requires a strong background in construction project management, with specific expertise in remediation activities including environmental cleanup, structural restoration, and site rehabilitation. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all phases of construction remediation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful delivery
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company standards
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and risk assessments
- Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required
- Identify and mitigate project risks proactively to minimize delays and cost overruns
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to senior management
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on remediation or environmental restoration projects
- Proven track record of managing large-scale remediation or construction projects from conception to completion
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, remediation technologies, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in the energy, chemicals, or resources sector is highly preferred
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
