Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Kuwait. The Demi Chef de Partie is a key member of the kitchen brigade, responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with Four Seasons' renowned culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and production of menu items
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented according to Four Seasons' quality standards and recipes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitor food stock levels, assist with inventory management, and help minimize food waste
- Collaborate with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service during all meal periods
- Follow proper food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures as per HACCP guidelines
- Support menu development and contribute creative ideas for seasonal specials and promotions
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and commis chefs as needed
- Respond to guest dietary requirements and special requests with professionalism and care
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience of 2–4 years in a professional hotel or fine dining kitchen, preferably in a similar role
- Culinary arts diploma or certification from a recognized culinary institution
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines, cooking techniques, and plating presentation
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen supplies
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
