About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Pre-Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team in Tunis, Tunisia, focusing exclusively on the Gulf Market — primarily the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between complex software solutions and client business needs. You will act as the technical authority during the sales cycle, crafting tailored proposals, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and ensuring our solutions align perfectly with the strategic objectives of enterprise clients across the Gulf region.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Presales Leadership: Own the technical engagement lifecycle for software deals targeting KSA and UAE markets, from initial qualification to proof-of-concept (PoC) delivery and final proposal submission.
- Client Discovery & Solution Design: Collaborate closely with sales executives to conduct deep-dive discovery workshops with prospective clients. Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures, leveraging our software platform's capabilities.
- Customized Demonstrations & PoCs: Design and deliver high-impact, customized product demonstrations and proof-of-concept environments that address specific client pain points — such as digital transformation, cloud migration, data sovereignty, and regulatory compliance in the Gulf.
- RFP/RFI Response Management: Lead the technical response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and competitive differentiation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present to C-level executives, IT directors, and technical teams across industries including banking, government, telecom, healthcare, and oil & gas in the GCC.
- Product Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the Gulf market to product management and engineering teams, providing actionable insights on feature gaps, localization needs (Arabic language, Hijri calendar, local regulations), and competitive intelligence.
- Sales Enablement: Develop and maintain sales battle cards, demo scripts, technical FAQs, and objection-handling guides tailored to the Gulf competitive landscape.
- Travel & On-site Support: Travel periodically to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other key Gulf cities for client meetings, conferences, and on-site workshops as required.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role within the software/IT industry, with at least 2 years focused on the GCC/Gulf market (KSA/UAE).
- Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with enterprise software platforms — SaaS, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), API integration, microservices architecture, and data security standards.
- Domain Knowledge: Proven track record selling software solutions in verticals relevant to the Gulf: FinTech, GovTech, Smart Cities, Telecom, or Energy.
- Communication: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Arabic language proficiency (Modern Standard Arabic and/or Gulf dialect) is a strong advantage for client-facing interactions.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or vendor-specific pre-sales certifications (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle) are highly valued.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical decision-makers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with or for a software vendor serving the Saudi Vision 2030 or UAE Digital Government initiatives.
- Familiarity with Gulf data residency laws, NDMO (Saudi National Data Management Office), TRA (UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) compliance, and PDPL (Personal Data Protection Law) requirements.
- Experience with Arabic RTL UI/UX considerations and bilingual software deployment.
- Established professional network within KSA/UAE IT decision-maker communities.
- Background in competitive displacement strategies against major incumbents in the region.
Why This Role Matters

Your technical insight will directly influence product roadmap decisions for regional relevance.
