Junior Accountant | Accounting & Bookkeeping تونس للعمل في حسابات

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team in Tunis. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with 0 to 1 year of experience who are eager to build a career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record maintenance
• Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, and financial documents
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with tax declarations and regulatory filings in compliance with local standards
• Perform account reconciliations and bank statement verification
• Help with closing procedures and preparation of financial reports (liasse fiscale)
• Collaborate with senior accountants on audits and financial reviews
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Licence) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Junior-level experience: 0 to 1 year in an accounting role or internship
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
• Good command of French (written and spoken); English proficiency is a plus

Skills

• Knowledge of tenue de comptes (bookkeeping) and comptabilité générale
• Ability to prepare déclarations fiscales (tax returns)
• Familiarity with clôtures comptables (period-end closing)
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
