About the Role

We are seeking a professional and courteous Waiter to join a reputable restaurant in Doha, Qatar. The Waiter is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately, serving food and beverages promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests. This role is vital in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for high-quality service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about food and beverages.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system.
• Serve meals and beverages efficiently, adhering to food safety standards.
• Monitor tables to anticipate and fulfill guest needs, such as refills, extra utensils, or special requests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
• Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and issue receipts.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables.
• Upsell menu items and promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
• Address and resolve guest complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
• Follow all restaurant policies, health codes, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a waiter or server in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong attention to detail; basic math skills for handling payments.
• Language: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Availability: Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Certification: Food handling or hospitality certification preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
• Knowledge of Qatari cuisine and local dining etiquette.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.
