Infrastructure, Network and Cybersecurity Architect RFF: A012025
About the job(RFF: A012025) ROLE SUMMARY: The post holder will be
responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and
maintenance of the institution’s technology infrastructure,
network systems, and cybersecurity measures. The role will
involve strategic planning, team leadership, and ensuring the
reliability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure
to support the institution’s academic and administrative
operations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Computer Information systems, Computer
Engineering, or related technical degree from an appropriately
accredited institution. 10+ years of progressive infrastructure
management, network administration, and cybersecurity
experience.Solid experience in leading and managing a team of IT
professionals. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP,
or CCIE are highly desirable. Strong knowledge of network
technologies, protocols, and security best practices. Deep
understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and
incident response.Familiarity with cloud computing,
virtualization, and data center technologies.Excellent leadership
and communication skills, with the ability to engage and
collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Strong
problem-solving abilities and ability to make strategic decisions
in a dynamic and evolving technology landscape. ACCOUNTABLE TO:

Director, Information Technology Center 1 Main Responsibilities:
1.1 Develop and implement the institution’s technology
infrastructure and network strategies, ensuring alignment with
organizational goals and objectives. 1.2 Oversee the design,
implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable network
systems, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and cloud
infrastructure. 1.3 Manage network security measures, including
firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs, to protect
institutional data and systems from unauthorized access. 1.4
Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks and areas for
improvement, and implement necessary enhancements to ensure
optimal network availability and performance. 1.5 Develop and
implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, policies, and
procedures to safeguard institutional data, systems, and
networks. 1.6 Lead the assessment of cybersecurity risks and
vulnerabilities, conducting regular audits and penetration
testing to identify and address potential threats. 1.7 Oversee
the implementation of security controls, including access
controls, encryption, security incident response, and disaster
recovery plans. 1.8 Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity
threats, trends, and best practices, and ensure the
institution’s cybersecurity measures are continuously enhanced
to mitigate risks. 1.9 Provide leadership and guidance to a team
of IT professionals, including infrastructure engineers, network
administrators, and cybersecurity specialists. 1.10 Foster a
collaborative and high-performance work environment, promoting
professional growth and development among team members. 1.11
Collaborate with other IT teams, academic departments, and
administrative units to understand their technology needs and
provide effective solutions and support. 1.12 Establish strong
relationships with external vendors and partners to leverage
their expertise and services for infrastructure, network, and
cybersecurity initiatives. 1.13 Develop and manage the
department’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources
and cost-effective utilization of technology solutions. 1.14
Evaluate and recommend infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity
technologies and tools, considering their impact on institutional
operations and long-term sustainability. 1.15 Monitor and report
on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to infrastructure,
network, and cybersecurity, providing regular updates to senior
management. 1.16 Ensure compliance with relevant laws,
regulations, and industry standards pertaining to data privacy,
security, and network infrastructure. 1.17 Collaborate with legal
and compliance teams to develop and implement policies and
procedures that align with regulatory requirements. 1.18 Stay
informed about changes in regulations and advise senior
management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to
ensure compliance. 2 Staff Development 2.1 Act as a role model by
presenting a positive and dynamic image. 2.2 Participate in
relevant in-service education and induction programs. 2.3
Actively participate in Staff Development and Performance Review.

at all times in conjunction with the organizations
