Job Overview

KBR is seeking a Licensed HVAC Mechanic to join our team at NSA Bahrain. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, comfortable, and operational environment for our personnel and facilities. As part of our Zero Harm culture, you will ensure all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems operate efficiently and comply with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and refrigeration units.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize system performance and energy efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and schematics.
• Comply with all safety regulations, environmental policies, and KBR's Zero Harm principles.
• Document work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with other maintenance teams to ensure facility systems are fully operational.

Required Qualifications

• Valid HVAC license or certification recognized in Bahrain.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC mechanic, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical circuits, and control systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large-scale HVAC systems in military or government facilities.
• Familiarity with CFC/HCFC refrigerant handling and EPA regulations.
• Certification in welding or brazing.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
