Overview of the Role

The Sales Assistant is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience in the market hall area. This role will support all operational duties as required to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales by actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions.
• Maintain a well-stocked, visually appealing sales floor that meets IKEA standards.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store targets and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in retail or sales is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; basic math and computer proficiency.
• Languages: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Attributes: Customer-focused, proactive, team player, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home furnishings or big-box retail.
• Familiarity with IKEA products and values.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment.
