Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Export Manager to join our team based in Algiers. The ideal candidate will have between 3 and 5 years of experience in the commercial field, with a strong focus on international trade and export operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute export strategies to expand market presence in target regions
- Manage end-to-end export operations including documentation, logistics, and compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and assess competitive landscape
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with overseas buyers
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, finance, logistics) to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor and analyze export performance metrics and prepare regular reports
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and export controls
- Manage export documentation: letters of credit, certificates of origin, shipping documents
- Participate in international trade fairs and business development missions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Commerce, or related field
- 3-5 years of proven experience in export management or international sales
- Strong knowledge of export procedures, Incoterms, and international payment methods
- Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken); Arabic is an asset
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Algerian market and North African trade corridors
- Familiarity with customs regulations and trade agreements affecting Algeria
- Track record of developing new export markets from inception
- Experience with logistics optimization and supply chain management
- Professional certification in international trade (e.g., CITP, FIBP) is a plus
