Key Responsibilities
- Perform paintless dent removal on steel, aluminum, and high-strength alloy panels using industry-standard PDR tools.
- Assess damage severity, determine repair feasibility, and provide accurate time estimates.
- Execute glue pulling, rod and hook techniques, and heat application for optimal metal memory restoration.
- Repair hail damage, door dings, crease dents, and minor collision damage without repainting.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with estimators, body shop technicians, and detailers to ensure seamless workflow.
- Document repairs with before/after photos for quality assurance and customer records.
- Stay current with evolving PDR technology, tools, and manufacturer repair procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Paintless Dent Technician, PDR Specialist, or Dent Removal Expert.
- Mastery of PDR tools: rods, hooks, whales, tabs, glue systems, LED lighting, and reflector boards.
- Deep understanding of metal memory, panel construction, and paint thickness gauges.
- Ability to read damage reports and interpret repair orders.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, patience, and attention to microscopic detail.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (may require mobile service).
- Certification from a recognized PDR training program (e.g., Ding King, NPDRA, or manufacturer-approved) preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years hands-on paintless dent repair experience in a high-volume shop or mobile operation.
- Portfolio demonstrating successful repairs on diverse dent types and panel materials.
- Experience with aluminum panel repair and high-strength steel is a significant advantage.
